DJALI HOUSE is a collective for creatives where we house an array of experienced Blak and POC artists, ranging from Directors to Art Designers, to Writers and Cinematographers. DJALI HOUSE has a clan of culturally experienced practitioners for productions to utilize.

Hunter Page-Lochard is an actor/writer/director with 25 years of experience in the industry. Hunter has worked with Indigenous creatives at the highest level including Rachel Perkins, Wayne Blair, and Adrian Wills. In 2024, Hunter was awarded the AACTA for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role in THE NEWSREADER.

Hunter wrote, directed, and starred in the short film DJALI which premiered at the 2018 Sydney Film Festival, and the short film CLOSED DOORS. He has written and directed for several children’s shows including PLAYSCHOOL and WARU, Bangarra’s first children’s show for stage.

Stephen Page served as Artistic Director of Bangarra Dance Theatre from 1991- 2023. He directed the Indigenous sections for the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games and 2018 Commonwealth Games Opening and Closing Ceremony.

Stephen’s first full-length film SPEAR premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. He has also directed the chapter SAND in the feature film THE TURNING (2013) and choreographed the feature films BRAN NUE DAE (2009) and THE SAPPHIRES (2011).

Stephen has been awarded the NAIDOC Lifetime Achievement Award, appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO), and an Honorary Doctorate of Creative Arts by the University of Technology Sydney.

Huna Amweero is a screenwriter and
graduate of AFTRS, where she completed
the Graduate Certificate (2012) and Diploma
(2013) in Screenwriting. Huna’s work
aims to unravel all forms of oppression while
embracing the imperfections of
marginalized characters.


Huna co-wrote two features with Del Kathryn Barton; Blaze for Causeway Films (earning a 2022 AWGIE) and Flower for Aquarius Films. Blaze had its World Premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival and its Australian Premiere at the Sydney Film Festival. Huna and Del earned the Betty Roland Prize for Screenwriting in the NSW Premier Literary Awards (2023).

Jake's work crosses over between Theatre,
Film, Television, Fine Art, and Public Art. Jake
uses all these experiences to create iconic
images that talk about the stories, people and
country shared by all, from a First Nations perspective.

He has spent the last 12 years at Bangarra
Dance Theatre as Head of Design and
has been the Set Designer on all of their
productions since 2010. He has won both
Greenroom and Helpmann Awards.
Jake holds several leadership positions and is
currently Creative Artist in Residence at the
Sydney Festival and Board Member at Belvoir
Street Theatre.
